*The Rev. Dr. J. Theodore Klein Scholarship *

The purpose of the Rev. Dr. J. Theodore Klein Scholarship is to aid students studying Philosophy and Ethical Philosophy. The Philosophy Department is honored to host this legacy, which memorializes Professor Klein’s scholarship on the ethics of care, service to his community, and dedication as an educator.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to all philosophy majors and only philosophy majors.
• Transfer students not eligible the year they transfer.
• Open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Freshmen are not eligible.

*How to Apply: *
Complete the general scholarship application and then complete the requirement listed below:

• Submit at least one letter of recommendation from a member of the UMB philosophy faculty (only philosophy letters accepted). If a student has transferred, we will accept letters of recommendation from philosophy/humanities faculty at other institutions but not as the only letter.
