The Timothy McCarthy Memorial Fund

To provide a scholarship to support graduate study in traditional liberal arts disciplines by disabled students of outstanding academic merit, with students of history being given special consideration. A committee appointed each year consisting of one representative each from the Disabled Student Center and the Office of Graduate Studies and three faculty selected by the History Department. Recipients may include disabled students enrolled in suitable programs at UMass Boston, disabled individuals eligible for admission into such programs and disabled students graduating from UMass Boston planning to enroll in a suitable program at an accredited university.
